Our Story
Akountable started in Pretoria with a simple frustration. Every month, practices across the country retype thousands of bank statement lines into spreadsheets, then sort each one into the right account by hand.
So we built two free tools that do it for you, built around how South Africa's banks actually lay out their statements. Next we're bringing the same care to full bookkeeping and payroll with Akountable Books and Payroll, now in beta.
